Why should my ducts be cleaned?
Duct cleaning removes dust, microbes, allergens, and foreign material lodged in the duct system that your family breathes daily.

How do can I be assured that my ducts really need cleaning?
Gulfshore will provide a video inspection of your system that you are encouraged to watch on our large LCD monitor. You can see for yourself. If the duct system is not dirty, we will recommend that it not be cleaned until it needs to be.

I vacuum my registers, is that not enough?
No. Much of the dust on your registers comes from inside the system where it is trapped. If you have mold on your registers, it probably means that you have mold growing in your duct system.

Will duct cleaning kill mold?
Yes. Gulfshore uses Oxine Cold Fog to kill any mold spores left in the system after cleaning.

What if my mold problem re-occurs?
Gulfshore can add an Accu-Clean filtration system and ultra-violet lighting to continually kill mold.

Will duct cleaning harm my duct work?
NO. Gulfshore will perform a video inspection prior to any cleaning. If your duct system is old and in poor condition, we will provide you with a free estimate to replace it. At no time will Gulfshore attempt to clean a system that may be damaged by the process. If there are any doubts we will gladly perform a free demonstration to show you how gentle and effective our process is.

Will one of those stand-up air purifiers sold on T.V. work?
Only if your home is about 100 square feet, which is the area that one of those can effectively treat. Whole house air purification with air conditioning system components such as an American Standard Accu-Clean, treats all of the air in your home about eight times per hour. Gulfshore can design a system to fit your needs.

I saw an ad in the paper for "Whole House Duct Cleaning $125.00." What is that?
This is a "teaser" or gimmick ad to get the company in the door. Once they begin they will add on charges for branch ducts, grills, fungicide, etc. All of Gulfshore's estimates include all of these services and more. It takes four to six hours to properly clean all of the duct work, grills, and air handler in the average home. This "teaser" rate will get your trunk line cleaned. After all, your trunk line does serve the "Whole House." Do the math. No company can come to your home with expensive equipment, two employees, and a fully equipped van and spend four hours for that price.
